We’re still working out this visit japan page. For now, here are a few things you should know.

  1. Wear comfortable shoes
    • Japan is a place where everyone walks. A lot. Everyday. On average, expect to hit more than 10,000 steps per day. Your feet will be tired, but don’t make it worst and have subpar shoes. Inserts will help a lot too. Make sure you invest in a good pair.
  2. People are quite on the trains
    • If you hop on the subway, it’s best to remain silent. Or if you must talk, whisper and keep it to the minimum. It’s part of the culture and it’s something that people should respect. If you have a phone call, best to call them once you’re off the train.
  3. Don’t eat and walk
    • It’s considered rude. Best to sit and eat your food and then walk.
  4. Do not Jaywalk
    • Japan is a nation of following the rules. Make sure you do so too
